Mark St. Clair's eclectic photographic style is the product of many career incarnations; whether as film maker, gallery owner/curator, museum manager or window dresser - all provided opportunities to train his artistic eye.

Based in Newcastle N.S.W. Australia, his view of the world is demonstrated in the balance and perspective of his compositions. He is recognized for his fearless exploration of the difficult area of darker tonal areas in an image. He embraces this head on with his work in classic film photography and digital media.

Having played in the visual arts field around the globe, his visual concepts are open and varied. The unique perspective of Mark’s work has been showcased in joint and solo exhibitions , "Femme, a perspective through the lens”, “Male", “Figuratively RAW”, “Eclectic”, “A Force of Nature”, "The upper hand"  and more recently, "Taking the arts by the horns" and @91 exhibitions at Newcastle Art Space as well as being a finalist in the 2016 Newcastle Emerging artist prize.

Mark is available for specialized private or corporate commissions of portraiture, event, themed, fine art figurative and product photography.
